Skreg Hero Changes

Poor old Skreg is finally getting some love in the upcoming update!

The patch notes are quite vague on the changes, so here’s a full list of his skills on both live and the test servers.

Bolded text indicates things that are new/changed.

tl;dr

Skreg is now immune to all Crowd Control abilities while riding iron-jaw.

Enemies will now deal less damage to Skreg the closer they are to him. He no longer receives less damage from long-ranged attacks.

An iron-jaw will now appear on the battlefield every 8 seconds to charge enemies, instead of only when he dies (Damage is lower though).

Unconfirmed:

Skreg will no longer dismount from iron-jaw. (This could just not be included in the skill text).

Skreg receives 30% attack rating instead of 30% damage done while riding iron-jaw. (Possible wording difference only).

Beast of Burden (Patch 1.25)

Skreg’s iron-jaw steed cannot be knocked backwards. When this ability is used, Skreg rides his iron-jaw, which uses 80 energy per second up until all of his energy is exhausted. While Skreg is riding his iron-jaw he is immune to control abilities and his attack rating is increased by 30%, Skreg’s normal attacks will also deal damage twice and knock down enemy targets.

Level 2: Energy expenditure reduced to 60 per second.
Level 3: Damage increased to 50%.

Beast of Burden (Patch 1.24)

Skreg’s iron-jaw steed cannot be knocked backwards and Skreg also cannot be knocked backwards while he is riding the iron-jaw. Skreg’s mode of attack also changes when he mounts the iron-jaw, which raises his damage by 30%. While atop of the iron-jaw, Skreg will expend 80 energy per second and once his energy has been completely exhausted he will dismount the iron-jaw.

Level 2: Energy expenditure reduced to 60 per second.
Level 3: Damage increased to 50%.

Brute Force (Patch 1.25)

The iron-jaw assists Skreg in attacking his enemies by smashing them into the air, dealing a small amount of damage to them. If the enemy is successfully knocked into the air, Skreg will initiate a three-stage attack against them which deals 140% damage per attack to the enemy.

Level 2: Skreg beats his drum and rides his iron-jaw into nearby enemies, dealing 110% damage multiple times to them, also causing them to be knocked back.
Level 3: Damage increased by up to 150%.
Level 4: Damage increased by up to 160%.

Brute Force (Patch 1.24)

The iron-jaw assists Skreg in attacking his enemies by smashing them backwards into the air, successively causing 140% damage to them multiple times.

Level 2: Damage increased by up to 145%.
Level 3: Damage increased by up to 150%.
Level 4: Damage increased by up to 155%.

Ironskin (Patch 1.25)

Enemies deal less damage to Skreg the closer they get to him. Damage reduction is at its maximum when enemies are within Skreg’s striking range. Damage received can be reduced by up to 40%.

Level 2: Damage reduction is increased up to 50%.
Level 3: Damage reduction is increased up to 60%
.

Ironskin (Patch 1.24)

Damage received from long-ranged attacks is reduced by 40%.

Level 2: Long-range damage is reduced by 45%.
Level 3: Long-range damage is reduced by 50%.

Stampede (Renamed from Payback in Patch 1.25)

Every 8 seconds an iron-jaw appears and charges towards the enemy closest to Skreg’s allies’ side of the battlefield, knocking back and stunning them and any other enemies in its path, dealing 150% damage to them.

Level 2: Damage increased by up to 165%.
Level 3: Damage increased by up to 180%
.

Payback (Patch 1.24)

If Skreg is killed in battle the iron-jaw will charge at its enemies, knocking down all enemies in its path and dealing 320% damage to them.

Level 2: Damage increased by up to 350%.
Level 3: Damage increased by up to 380%.

They broke this hero. It’s he appears on the event wonder travels and it’s almost impossible to be 4 of them together w/o the right combination of relics which suck.

I have finally beat it today using thunderburst and ice/fire binger. Having the right relic is the key. IMO thunderburst is the most critical one to pass this VOW.

Great changes. I’m on 16 chapter, and still got no mauler hero, except Skreg.
Now, I put everything on him, and he is a real beast. 20 levels of chapter on one breath.

So, any great team-comps with him, but not full around him? smile

I know we can view it in game but in the future can you add the required hero level next to skill level?

I agree, when there are two NPC skregs in the front line, they are already too much OP. So now, it will be a pain in the…

Theres a mission in PoT i believe where you have to fight 5 skregs as the boss. good thing i beat it prior to this, and even then i had to retry a few times and won with CC. GG for that strategy
